It’s Never Too Late to Pursue Your Childhood Dream

I love real estate.

This may sound weird but when I was 6 years old, I begged my parents to pass by a piece of property they invested in every Sunday.  When I was 9 years old, I regularly checked out properties for sale in the classified section of the newspaper. And in my teen years, my favorite past-time was checking out floor plans from my brother’s architectural books and accompanying my mom house-hunting.

There’s just something truly fascinating about real estate… how land appreciates over time, exploring its highest and best use, design and function, its community and wealth-building opportunities.

Although I spent my early adult years pursuing a different path as an edupreneur and building our training company called Businessmaker Academy while starting our small family with my husband Mark So, I managed to dabble a bit with real estate investing, publishing and getting a real estate broker’s license on the side.  I guess when you are really interested in something, you’ll naturally gravitate to it.  It will nudge you until you remember and realize a childhood dream that’s yet to be fulfilled.

And now that my training company is stable and my children are in big school, the time has come for me to revisit my love for real estate and pursue my next big thing: a Real Estate Rental Empire.

Wow—that sounds so grand and ambitious.  I’m not sure if I’ll be able to achieve it all but I might as well start by declaring it.  They say that if you want something bad enough, the world will connive to make it happen.

And I say, it’s not too late to pursue a childhood dream when you still believe that dreams can come true.  So let this blog be my witness for this new journey.
